One of the most memorable "adventure" games I played growing up was the Monkey Island series. Some LucasArts developers are putting together a graphical upgrade to the original game in order to please the old fans and garner some new interest from younger gamers.
Everything that you remember from Monkey Island is there because this remake runs on top of the original game, letting you switch instantly--with the back button--between the classic game and the revamped version with updated visuals and audio. This is by far one of the coolest features that we've come across when it comes to remakes, and this addition lets you compare the two versions and realize what a difference 20 years can make.
In an era where adventure games are all but dead, its time to revisit the SCUMM (tm) Bar! Arrr!
