
The Android community is currently working on a LiveCD for the Android OS for desktops and laptops. A LiveCD is a bootable CD that boots into the Operating System so users can use/test the OS as if it were installed on their desktop. This is common among Linux distributions. Keep in mind Android has always been meant for a variety of devices from phones to set-top boxes to netbooks, as opposed to the new Google Chrome OS for people who spend most of their time online.
