Reportedly, Android 2.0 OS will allow users of Android handsets to use a turn-by-turn navigation system via Google maps to rival existing paid applications and GPS navigation systems. Read more from Engadget. And an earlier report here.

Gizmodo does a hands-on and finds the software lacking in some areas. However, given this IS a free software, with Android 2.0, and that its still in beta, we expect some changes can be in order to still make it the map King its setting out to be. Read about it here.
