Quentin Tarantino says Inglourious Basterds was based on Sgt Fury and his Howling Commandoes! I knew it!!! That's Nick Fury's war-time crew! I read a recent updated one-shot and subconsiously drew connections, though as usual, the connections never met up. Awesome stuff!
