Avatar is "Sci-tanic" - Today paper

A snippet of the positive review of James Cameron's Avatar by Today newspaper's Genevieve Loh:
With all the industry chatter of how this is the film that will revolutionise the future of movies, I have to say "Avatar" actually turned out to be everything they said it was going to be and nothing like you've seen before.

I must confess that after the initial sneak peek, I was incredibly worried that it was going to be the world's most expensive letdown, the way most massively over-hyped, aggressively marketed and campaigned movies usually are.

But thanks to Cameron's deftness at working pure unadulterated movie magic and that impossibly lush blue alien planet Pandora brought to life with special effects wizardry and geek-boy technology packaged in 3D glory, the self-proclaimed King of the World has stunned his detractors and created an epic that has, and will, change what I believe many a heart and mind.

Looking forward to it! Read more from Channel News Asia.
