FusionGarage's JooJoo, frm the Crunchpad debacle

Some of you may have heard of the crash of the Crunchpad recently. Though that product is dead, the company originally tasked with the production of the concept is still going ahead with it! FusionGarage basically is cutting out Michael Arrington citing that they made zero contributions, and since there was no contractual agreement, they will be launching the product called the JooJoo. These are the features:
it runs a UNIX-based OS, boots straight to a web browser (otherwise no apps at all), weighs about 2.4 pounds and features a 12.1-inch capacitive touchscreen. There are no physical buttons on the slate outside of the on-off switch, which taps into a 9 second boot time. Under the hood there's a 4GB SSD, WiFi (no 3G), an accelerometer and about 5 hours of battery life.

It costs US$499, read more from Engadget.

More on the Crunchpad/FusionGarage debacle from Wired Gadget Labs.
Hands-on impressions of the JooJoo, from WGL.

From the impressions above, I get the feeling that casual purchasers should wait a little while till the next better tablet comes along. Now, its early adopters only.

Update:
Engadget brings you a video on the JooJoo.
