Engadget's Nexus One Review

Its out! Check out what Engadget has to say about the Nexus One here.

Because the internet and the techgeeks have presented a one-sided view of the phone, touting as the best android phone to date, I'll highlight the negatives from the review here:
- AMOLED screen oversaturates some colours, and is impossible to see in bright sunlight.
- Speaker quality isn't good - "thinny" is the word Engadget used.
- Android 2.1 improvements are mostly user-interface considerations, ie. Picture gallery is prettier, home screen has been cleaned up slightly, no longer the pull-down drawer.
- No multi-touch yet, which screws the phone over majorly.

In conclusion:
the Nexus One is at its core just another Android smartphone. It's a particularly good one, don't get us wrong -- certainly up there with the best of its breed -- but it's not in any way the Earth-shattering, paradigm-skewing device the media and community cheerleaders have built it up to be.

There you have it.
