Toyota Prius C concept is gorgeous!



Toyota Prius have long been known to be butt ugly cars despite their energy efficiency. Someone in the Design arm finally took heed, and voila - the Prius C has emerged. I believe it is a much cooler design concept, with somewhat similar lines to the Volkswagen Scirocco, but don't quote me on that.

Review: Nissan Leaf (EV)



Autoblog has reviewed the latest electric vehicle (EV) to hit the streets, the Nissan Leaf.
Our comrades over at Autoblog managed to get behind the wheel of the all-electric whip down in San Jose, and while they didn't find anything that changed the admittedly developing game, what they did find was a solid, refined EV that's "ready for primetime." They were quick to praise the design, which doesn't scream "oddball" like some of the earlier electric automobiles. As for the ride? That was deemed "suitably smooth," while the interior was found to be "a few degrees better than what you'd find in an economy car of similar size." In fact, the overriding tone of the review was one of unsurprised satisfaction, with critics noting that the "gadgetry is impressive, but no more so than some of the hybrid options available from Nissan's competitors," and in the end, the Leaf doesn't aim to "change the driving experience, just change the method of motivation.

US Govt approves loans for 2-3 wheel vehicle development

And this is with regard to energy-efficiency in vehicles. It IS exciting in a way, with Piaggio's new 3-wheelers now paving the way, it makes 3-wheel cars viable in the future, and THAT's exciting. Especially after watching the following video:

eRinGo



A concept electric car based on the wheel by Yanko Design. The ideas been seen in manga and other cartoons, and I think its quite exciting if it ever takes off. Problems they'll probably be facing are - emergency braking, suspension (smooth rides), and unique safety issues that come with the concept.
