Engadget has just reviewed the Dell Streak 5" MID and phone device, and its looking good. If you think 5" of screen space is getting a little too much, well, considering the HTC Evo 4G is already over 4", this could be a trend we're seeing here. Personally I'd prefer a larger screen over a squint-inducing 3" one, but the size and weight will start to become a factor then.
