Wishlist for Android 3.0 (aka Pls Fix Android's Flaws)

The purpose of this article by Craig Simms of CNET Australia was to create a wish list of the Android issues that badly needed some looking at by Google developers. But in so writing, the author has inevitably written down all the flaws and problems that a wannabe-Android user can use for consideration prior to purchasing an Android smartphone or laptop/tablet.

The problems include:

- Terrible Android Marketplace: renowned internet search giant Google did not seem to have implemented a proper search function for their Android Market!

- Apps may not work on your version of Android. Frustration seems to be the key word here, with problems detected only after installation. This stems from Google's lack of control (which used to be seen as a good thing) in comparison with Apple's iron-grip on the Appstore.

- Apps are lacking. For example, the Nexus One even lacks a very basic note-taking app.

- Media is not handled from 1 specified directory, and also tends to include Ringtones and such. There is no one overall good media player as yet. Even video doesn't seem to be handled natively.

- Cumbersome copy-and-paste
